Park County Strategic Master Plan and Land Use Code Update Recommendations

Park County 2040 Master Plan & Land Use Update

Led by EJD+P

EJD+P partnered with Park County to shape the Park County 2040 Strategic Master Plan and Land Use Plan Update—a bold, community-centered vision for the county’s future.

Electra Johnson & Sky Tallman led a countywide planning process that connected land use, housing, infrastructure, and natural resource protection with the real needs and values of local residents.

What We Did:

  • Created a comprehensive, forward-looking strategic master plan to guide growth and investment

  • Updated the Land Use Code Update Recommendations to reflect current conditions and future challenges

  • Delivered data-driven strategies for housing, transportation, and infrastructure

  • Conducted one of the most extensive outreach efforts in the county’s history

Our Outreach in Action:

We met with residents in every corner of Park County—on ranches, in fire stations, at town halls, and through bilingual surveys and online tools.
Workshops, interviews, and visioning sessions shaped a plan by the people, for the people.

The Result:

A clear, actionable roadmap that:

  • Protects what makes Park County special—its open spaces, rural life, and wildlife

  • Guides responsible development and affordable housing solutions

  • Strengthens infrastructure and local economies

  • Promotes fair and transparent governance

We’re proud to have helped Park County plan boldly—and practically—for the next generation.
