Colorado College Gates Common Room
Colorado College approached Electra Johnson to redesign and update their historic Gates Common Room in Palmer Hall. It has once been the natural history museum and held the whale skeleton that now hangs at the Denver Museum of Nature and science. Through a series of bad renovations when agree shafts were forcibly stuffed in the corners and ada ramps were put in with no regard for any visual continuity, everything has been painted institutional white. Electra Johnson updated this well loved area- to a space now reserved for many different kids of gathering at Colorado College.
